About
I’ve been able to help hundreds of people find their perfect home, sell it for their next perfect home, invest in real estate, and retire to their perfect condo in the mountains.
If you are discouraged by all the weirdness in the market, don’t be. Educate yourself, talk to lenders, get a real estate agent you like since you will spend lots of time together, and assess your tolerance for aggravation.
I believe most of the folks involved in a real estate transaction all want the same thing—a closing. If all parties keep that in mind and are mindful in their communications, you’ll find that everyone gets what they want.
My Story
Wendy was my first client as a real estate agent. She was a vet student and wanted to buy a place she could eventually rent and move on to her next home. Smart woman.
I had started with Rhoades Realty in 1999 and leaned heavily on the managing broker for my first deal to go smoothly. Despite some weird moments with the listing agent, it was a success. And a few years later, the listing agent came up to me and apologized for his behavior.
I didn’t grow up wanting to be a real estate agent. But I needed a job where I could set my own hours, be there for my kids, especially for all the sports they played, and make decent money. A friend said I should try real estate, so I did.
Twenty-four years later and I’m still checking the MLS five times a day, sending listings to clients who I think would love the place, and reading every article about the state of real estate today.
Wendy went on to get married, have a couple of kids, and eventually moved to Oregon. She also sent her friends and family to me.
Real estate has its up and downs and crazy swings every so often, but I feel lucky that I listened to my friend who said, “You should do real estate!” I’ve been able to help hundreds of people find their perfect home, sell it for their next perfect home, invest in real estate, and retire to their perfect condo in the mountains.
Buying a home in northern Colorado will always be a great investment.
Let’s make sure it’s the right one for you.

After realizing the traditional publishing industry was struggling with getting out the works of their
established authors throughout the COVID pandemic, I decided to self-publish. At 71, I had to focus on learning the biz while hiring editors, book designers, marketing folks, etc., all while not freaking out over how much I needed to spend.
